Abstract

The ecumenical life movement aims to unite churches that were previously separated by different denominational organizations. This movement will continue to build but without eliminating existing denominations because the richness of denominations is a work of Jesus Christ that is unique to His churches. As an effort to maintain Christian harmony in Indonesia, the Ecumenical Movement really helps foster unity between various church denominations. The purpose of writing this article is to see how the Ecumenical movement is used in the context of the diversity of Christians in Indonesia and how this impacts inter-religious relations. The work on this article shows that the Ecumenical movement not only emphasizes doctrinal unity, but also emphasizes the values ​​of love and tolerance between Christians. This movement succeeded in strengthening relations between denominations and establishing cooperation with other religious communities through various theological dialogue programs and social activities. It is hoped that this article will provide in-depth insight into the role of Ecumenical Affairs in building social harmony and stability in society.
