This journal article aims to analyze and explain the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Christian Religious Education (PAK) in Disadvantaged Areas. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Christian Religious Education (PAK) in disadvantaged areas is an effort to improve the quality of education by adapting learning approaches that are relevant to local needs. The Merdeka Curriculum gives teachers the freedom to design project-based learning that is contextual, based on Christian values, and pays attention to local cultural diversity. However, implementing this curriculum in underdeveloped areas faces various challenges, such as limited facilities, access to technology and teacher competency. This research aims to explore strategies for implementing the Independent Curriculum in PAK in disadvantaged areas, analyzing its impact on student character development, and identifying solutions to the obstacles faced.
