Religious education plays a very crucial role in shaping the character of students, especially in facing moral and social challenges in the current era of globalization. The ideal criteria for a religious teacher include not only academic and pedagogical competence, but also the ability to be a role model in daily life, as well as being able to demonstrate religious values in real terms. It is expected that religious teachers can integrate religious teachings into students' lives, provide examples of good behavior, and instill strong ethical and spiritual values. These criteria are essential to shape the character of learners who have integrity, responsibility and concern for the social environment. Furthermore, the development of spiritual values in religious learning has a significant impact on students' character building. Religion teachers play a role in instilling a deep sense of spirituality, which goes beyond mere religious knowledge and includes the appreciation and practice of religious teachings in daily life. This process can produce individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also emotionally and spiritually mature. Therefore, the purpose of religious learning is not only limited to the delivery of religious teachings itself, but also aims to shape the character of students who are balanced, have inner peace, and are able to face life with a positive attitude and full of empathy.
