Abstract

This journal discusses the role of educators, especially Christian religious education teachers, in character formation. This research is based on the principle of Proverbs 22:6, which emphasizes the importance of instilling values ​​in children. This study shows that Christian educators function not only as academic teachers but also as moral and spiritual teachers. In addition to setting a good example, they are responsible for demonstrating traits such as responsibility, authority, independence, and discipline. This research also emphasizes that students should learn in a supportive and safe environment. In the Christian curriculum, character education is included to strengthen the teaching of moral values ​​and ensure that students acquire knowledge and strong character. The methodology used is a literature review that underlies the arguments presented. With a descriptive approach, this research analyzes various reliable sources to support the significance of the teacher's role in Christian education and character development. Ultimately, this research confirms that effective teaching in a Christian context is more than just the transfer of knowledge; it is also about character transformation, preparing students to live responsible and ethical lives according to biblical principles.
