Peranan Profesionalisme Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen Terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Peserta Didik

Abstract

In modern times, humans want to achieve a better life. Education is believed to be a strategic tool to improve human life standards. Through education, humans become intelligent, have skills, attitudes to life that provide social and personal benefits that make a dignified nation. Teachers who educate because of their calling have a mission to lead their students to a better life intellectually and socially. Teachers who teach with the mentality of a guide and caregiver, not with the mentality of shouting to get paid, but are able to provide energy reserves so that they remain gentle in dealing with students who make their eyebrows furrow.  Teachers play a very important role in helping students grow to realize their life goals well. Teachers help students who are developing to learn something they don't know, help with competence, and understand the standard material being studied.  Quality Christian teachers can lead their students with exemplary leadership and love. The characters formed will color students' lives and activities both at home and at school. Christian Religious Education Teachers have an important responsibility to foster good and specific student character.
