Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of codes of ethics in shaping teacher professionalism, especially in the context of Christian Religious Education (PAK). Using a literature review approach, this research examines various works related to teacher codes of ethics and professionalism. The results show that the code of ethics functions as a moral compass that guides teachers' actions in carrying out their duties. The code of ethics provides clear guidelines regarding professional responsibility, improving the quality of education, and maintaining professional honor. Apart from that, implementing a code of ethics contributes to shaping student character through instilling moral values. In order to achieve optimal professionalism, teachers need to actively develop themselves, collaborate with colleagues, and continuously reflect on their teaching practices. From this research it can be concluded that a code of ethics is a crucial foundation in building teacher professionalism and creating a quality educational environment.
