Quality of Learning Services, Student SatisfactionAbstract
This study aims to determine the influence of the quality of learning services on the satisfaction of Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangaribuan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research hypothesis posits that there is a positive and significant influence of the quality of learning services on student satisfaction. The population of this study comprises all Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangaribuan, totaling 125 individuals. The research instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 39 items, which was piloted among 30 Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Siborongborong—students who were not included as research respondents. The validity of the instrument was tested using Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The correlation coefficients ranged from 0.153 to 0.602, all of which were greater than the critical value (r_table) of 0.316 (at α = 0.05, confidence level = 95%, n = 30). However, five items were found to be invalid as their r_calculated values were less than r_table. Consequently, the researcher decided to discard the invalid items, specifically items number 1, 3, 11, 27, and 32. Therefore, the final valid questionnaire consisted of 34 items, which were used as the research instrument. The reliability of the instrument was tested using the Alpha Formula, yielding a reliability coefficient (r₁₁) of 0.887, which falls into the category of “very strong,” thus confirming that the instrument is reliable. The data analysis process included the following steps: 1) Test of analysis requirements: a) The test for a positive influence resulted in r_xy = 0.789 > r_table (α = 0.05, n = 37) = 0.325, indicating a positive relationship between the quality of learning services and student satisfaction. b) The test for a significant influence showed that t_calculated = 12.382 > t_table (α = 0.05, df = n - 2 = 35) = 2.021, demonstrating a statistically significant influence of learning service quality on student satisfaction. 2) Influence analysis: a) The regression equation obtained was Ŷ = α + bX = 11.978 + 0.607X. b) The coefficient of determination (r²) was calculated to be 0.623, meaning that the quality of learning services accounted for 62.3% of the variance in student satisfaction. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F-test resulted in F_calculated > F_table, i.e., 58.036 > 4.08. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted, confirming that there is a positive and significant influence of the quality of learning services on the satisfaction of Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangaribuan.
