In this modern era, teaching has become easier to implement due to the variety of methods available for each lesson. These methods can be applied in diverse ways, such as using active storytelling techniques, conducting observations, engaging in discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and play-based learning for Sunday school children. Previously, teaching in Sunday school was more monotonous, relying heavily on storytelling and passive listening. However, several churches now incorporate varied teaching methods. The issue, according to the author's observation at the Protestant Fellowship Church (GPP) Siaro, North Tapanuli Resort I, is that Sunday school teachers still lack the use of diverse methods in their teaching, which could foster better interaction between the teachers and the children. This, in turn, could positively affect the children's attendance at Sunday school services. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The research process follows procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people whose behavior is observed through interviews and observations using a qualitative approach. The purpose of this study is to explore the perspectives of 8-12-year-old Sunday school children at GPP Siaro regarding varied teaching methods in increasing attendance. The results of this study show that Sunday school children respond positively to varied teaching methods employed by the Sunday school teachers, which has led to an increase in attendance at Sunday services.
