This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Sunday School children’s behavior regarding disobedience during worship services at HKBP Pagar Beringin Church. Children’s disobedience during worship poses a challenge for the church in fostering religious character from an early age. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that factors influencing disobedience include family environment, teaching methods of Sunday School teachers, parenting styles, and peer influence. Additionally, less interactive teaching approaches and a mismatch between teaching materials and children’s needs contribute to such behavior. The study recommends strengthening collaboration between parents, Sunday School teachers, and the church to create a conducive learning environment for improving children’s discipline and participation in worship.
