This study explores the relationship between social ethics and trust at the Tarutung Christian State Institute of Religion (IAKN). Trust is viewed as a vital element in fostering harmonious social relationships, both at the individual and institutional levels. Using a qualitative method, this research examines how social ethics influence interactions among students and between students and lecturers. Key findings reveal that a lack of awareness regarding social ethical values, such as disrespectful communication or behavior that violates norms, hinders trust-building. Additionally, off-campus student misconduct, including plagiarism or unethical relationships, reflects a moral crisis. This study recommends strengthening social ethics education through curricula and firm campus policies. Consistent application of social ethics is expected to create an environment conducive to students' moral and spiritual growth, fostering a generation characterized by integrity and trustworthiness.
