Abstract

This journal discusses the role of ethics and codes of conduct in the use of social media in the digital era, where digital platforms have become an important part of daily social interactions. With the increasing number of social media users, challenges related to the spread of misinformation, cyberbullying, and other negative behaviors are increasingly urgent to address. Digital ethics serves as a moral guideline that regulates user behavior, encouraging individual responsibility in communicating and sharing information. Social media codes of ethics, which include principles such as honesty, openness, and responsibility, provide guidance for users to behave ethically. However, challenges in implementing ethics and codes of conduct, such as the spread of false information and cultural differences, require collaborative efforts between users, platforms and governments. By implementing good ethics, it is hoped that a more positive and constructive social media environment can be created, which supports healthy and respectful interactions.
