Abstract

Quality education is one of the most important foundations for building an advanced, civilized, and competitive society in the current era of globalization. In the education process, the role of teachers as the main facilitators of learning is very important. This paper examines the importance of the teacher's code of ethics which functions as a moral and professional guideline in carrying out teacher duties. This code of ethics contains basic principles such as honesty, responsibility, justice and respect for student rights, and is the basis for building harmonious relationships between teachers, students, parents and the community. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the relationship between teacher understanding and implementation of the code of ethics with improving the quality of education. Research shows that the implementation of the code of honor not only contributes to student achievement, but also creates a safe, inclusive learning environment and helps students develop character. In addition, this study identifies various challenges faced by teachers in implementing the code of ethics, especially in the digital era, and strategies that can be used to overcome these challenges. Therefore, these results are expected to provide valuable insights for educators, policy makers, and the wider community regarding the importance of the code of ethics in education.
