Pentingnya Kode Etik Dalam Meningkatkan Profesionalisme Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen

Abstract

The code of ethics has an important role in increasing the professionalism of Christian religious education (PAK) teachers. Teacher professionalism does not only include academic competence, but also attitudes, behavior and morality that reflect Christian values. The code of ethics functions as a guideline that maintains integrity, shapes character, and guides teachers in carrying out their duties with full responsibility. Challenges such as the influence of technology, shifts in morality, and external pressures increasingly emphasize the importance of consistent application of ethical codes. By implementing a good code of ethics, teachers can be role models of faith, form students with character, and strengthen public trust in the role of teachers as faith educators. Support from various parties, including educational institutions and the government, is needed to ensure the strengthening of the code of ethics in teacher professionalism practices.
