Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in improving the quality of education in the digital era. Along with the advancement of technology, education in Indonesia faces new challenges that require teachers to adapt to these changes. Teachers not only play the role of educators but also as facilitators, motivators, and innovators in applying technology to enrich students' learning experiences. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the roles and strategies implemented by teachers in addressing digital advancements in learning. The results indicate that teachers who successfully enhance the quality of education in the digital era possess adequate digital skills, are capable of creating interactive and technology-based learning environments, and continually develop themselves through training and digital resources. Challenges faced include the digital divide and the need to continuously update the curriculum in line with developments. Therefore, collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and society is essential to support teachers in optimizing their roles.
