Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant effect of the Brainstorming Teaching Method on the learning creativity of Christian Religious Education (PAK) students in Class VIII at SMP N 2 Muara, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design, specifically using the one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of all Class VIII Protestant Christian students at SMP Negeri 2 Muara, totaling 105 students across three classes. A sample of 35 students was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire with 31 items: 13 items for variable X and 18 items for variable Y. The data analysis results indicate a positive and significant effect of the Brainstorming Teaching Method on the learning creativity of PAK students in Class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Muara, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year, as evidenced by the following: 1) Preliminary analysis tests:  a) The correlation test yielded an rxy = 0.626, which is greater than rtable at a = 0.05, 95% confidence interval, and n = 35 of 0.334.  b) The significance test resulted in tcalculated = 4.609, which is greater than ttabel (dk=n-2 = 35-2=33) = 2,042.  2) Influence tests:  a) The regression analysis resulted in  = 71,31  0,91x  b) The coefficient of determination test yielded ( ) = 39,1%. 3). 3) Hypothesis test: Using the F-test, it was found that Fcalculated > Ftable=(=0,05,dk pembilang k=13,dk penyebut=n-2=35-2=33) yaitu 5.84 > 2,07. Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha, which states that there is a positive and significant effect of the Brainstorming Teaching Method on the learning creativity of PAK students in Class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Muara, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year, is accepted.
