Academic stress is a common challenge experienced by students during higher education. Various academic demands, such as assignments, exams, and pressure to perform, are often sources of stress that can have a negative impact on mental health and academic performance. This research aims to examine the role of social support in reducing students' academic stress levels. Social support, whether from family, friends, or lecturers, can serve as a source of emotional reinforcement, information, and practical assistance that helps students deal with academic pressure. This study uses a quantitative approach by involving a number of students from various study programs as respondents. The results showed that students who received high social support tended to have lower levels of academic stress than those who had low social support. Thus, these results confirm the importance of social support as a protective factor in dealing with academic stress and provide practical implications for educational institutions to create an environment that supports student well-being.
