Abstract

The implementation of the independent learning curriculum applied to the teaching and learning process experiences problems that directly influence the effectiveness of Christian Religious Education learning, namely a lack of human absorption capacity, minimal infrastructure, a very lack of technical guidance activities to equip educators and inequality in implementation in remote areas, for example Students have the ability to follow the flow of implementing the independent learning curriculum and some areas are less able to understand. The aim of this research is to reveal the effectiveness of the free learning policy in Christian Religious Education subjects and to put understanding into the energy of educators so that the implementation of the free learning curriculum can be maximized in sync with local wisdom. This research uses library research methodology by utilizing books and documents as sources of data to be processed. The implementation of the independent learning curriculum in Christian religious education subjects is currently still less effective. This is influenced by the lack of educational capabilities and infrastructure to support its implementation in learning activities which are still limited. So, it is important to study to be able to provide suggestions for tangible progress.
