Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of spiritual development programs in Sunday School in enhancing children’s understanding of God’s Word and shaping Christian character. Using a qualitative approach, the research analyzes data from worship activities, the delivery of biblical teachings, and interactions between teachers and students. The findings indicate that development programs designed by integrating lecture methods, question-and-answer sessions, and other interactive activities effectively enhance children’s comprehension of biblical teachings. Furthermore, these programs assist children in internalizing Christian values such as love, honesty, and responsibility. Thus, spiritual development programs in Sunday School are proven to be effective in shaping a faithful and character-driven younger generation.
