Peningkatan Kompetensi Dasar Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Menguasai Bahan Ajar untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran

Abstract

Increasing the basic competence of Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers is very important to improve the quality of learning in schools. One of the main aspects that influences the quality of learning is the teacher's ability to master the teaching materials delivered to students. This research aims to explore the importance of increasing the basic competencies of PAK teachers in mastering teaching materials, as well as its impact on the quality of learning provided. In this research, a qualitative approach was used using literature study methods and interviews with several PAK teachers in several secondary schools. The research results show that a deep understanding of teaching materials not only helps teachers teach more effectively, but also increases students' interest and understanding of teaching materials. Teachers' basic competency in mastering teaching materials also influences their ability to manage classes, implement innovative learning methods, and provide better assessments of student learning achievement. Therefore, it is important for PAK teachers to continue to improve their competence, either through training, independent learning, or collaboration with fellow teachers, so that the quality of PAK learning in schools can be improved.
